Due to the unpredictable weather, all beaches, public parks, and marketplaces will be closed in Dubai.

Authorities said the decision has been taken with the safety of the public in mind

The Dubai Municipality declared on Wednesday that, owing to the UAE's weather, all beaches, public parks, and marketplaces are closed in the emirate.

On Thursday, May 2, beaches, public parks, and marketplaces will be closed.

The UAE has issued an advisory for "medium to heavy rains" over the next two days as the nation gets ready for bad weather starting today.

In several emirates, authorities have announced distant learning. Additionally, the UAE declared that government workers would henceforth be able to work remotely and encouraged private sector companies to do the same. Airports in Dubai and airlines have also issued advisories to passengers.

Authorities in the UAE have reassured citizens that safety is still their first priority and have taken preemptive steps to deal with the weather.
