This week, the UAE could expect sandstorms and a dip in temperature due to the ongoing unpredictability of the weather.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the National Centre of Meteorology predicts wind speeds of up to 40 kph, increasing to 45 kph on Friday.

Over portions of the Emirates, the strong winds may produce sandstorms and dust storms.

According to the online map provided by the meteorological department, Abu Dhabi's high temperature on Wednesday is expected to decrease to 34°C on Friday.

Dubai's high temperature of 40°C on Wednesday is expected to fall to 35°C by Friday.

The country's western, southern, and eastern regions, as well as the island sections of Abu Dhabi, might get further rain on Wednesday, according to the meteorological centre.

It is anticipated that the rain will be light and not as bad as the heavy storms that occurred last Thursday and in April.

On Tuesday, April 16, the UAE had the most rain in a single day in 75 years. The intense rain disrupted traffic, caused extensive flooding, and caused damage.

After the historic flood, four Dubai Metro stations are still not operational over three weeks later.

At the Red Line stations of Onpassive, Equiti, Mashreq, and Energy, trains are still not stopping.

According to NCM data, May brings 2.3mm of rain on average to the UAE.
