UAE: There will be more rain this week and during the summer.

According to a meteorological expert, as the UAE enters the summer, people could expect more rain over the following several days.

However, the western and southern parts of the nation are predicted to get the most of the rains.

The UAE saw the most intense rainfall on record on April 16 and then saw a period of rain and hail on May 2 and 3, but according to the expert, there won't be any noteworthy weather occurrences in the near future.

Rain is most likely to fall on Sunday, May 5, and then again on Monday and Tuesday. Rainfall is just marginally likely in Dubai and Sharjah. Dr. Ahmed Habib, a meteorologist at the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), stated that the low pressure is now heading outside of the nation.

"The southern part of the UAE will experience fair to partly cloudy conditions at times, while rainfall is expected in the western coastal region of the country." It is clear that clouds are forming, which will result in rainfall in these areas.
Change of pace

According to Dr. Habib, the UAE has two distinct seasons: winter and summer, which are interspersed by transitional times.

The winter months of December through March usually have mean temperatures between 16.4 and 24 degrees Celsius.

"The first transitional phase, which lasts from April to May, is characterised by rapidly shifting and erratic weather patterns. In most areas, temperatures rise gradually, averaging between 26 and 33.5 degrees Celsius."

Summertime, which lasts from June to September, can have highs of up to 50 degrees Celsius, particularly in the south. The range of average temperatures during this time is 32 to 37.2 degrees.

"Spring is transitioning right now, and it will last through this month. Thus, there's still a chance that low-pressure systems may approach from the southeast, north, and southwest, bringing clouds and possibly rain to our region." But, he added, there are other elements that can affect rain.

This month's seemingly longer days were also addressed by Dr. Habib.

He stated that the sun is travelling north of the equator. "The northern hemisphere experiences a gradual increase in daylight, which causes the air temperature to gradually rise over most of the country."

"June is when summer will begin. The pressure system will then start to alter the following month. Summertime sees very little rainfall, especially along the coast, with the exception of places close to the mountains, according to Dr. Habib.
